Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will catch a domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip. There, you will meet your safari guide who will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately an hour away. Queen Elizabeth National Park, previously known as Kazinga Channel National Park, is situated in the western arm of the Rift Valley and is Uganda's second-largest national park, covering over 1,978 square kilometers. Established in 1952 as Kazinga Channel National Park, its name was changed two years later to Queen Elizabeth National Park to honor Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Uganda. The park is renowned for its diverse ecosystem, which includes wide savannah landscapes, lush forests with acacia woodlands and shrubs, crater lakes, the Kazinga Channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, the Maramagambo Forest, and wetlands that create a perfect natural habitat.It hosts over 95 mammal species, including the famous Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinoceros in some areas), as well as 10 primate species and over 600 bird species, making it one of Uganda's premier birdwatching destinations. There are also opportunities to spot reptiles. Optional activities include visiting the Ishasha Community Project. After your exploration, you will head to the lodge for dinner and spend the night. Luxury – Ishasha Wilderness Ishaha Wilderness Camp at Queen Elizabeth National Park Ishasha Wilderness Camp is situated in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park known as Ishasha, along the banks of the Ntungwe River. It's an ideal retreat for those who cherish the African wilderness, being located within the park itself. The Ishasha sector is famous for its tree-climbing lions, often seen lounging in the branches of scattered fig trees, along with other wildlife like buffaloes and elephants that roam the area.     Ishasha Jungle Lodge is situated next to River Ntungwe, approximately 20km from Katokye Gate on a 30-acre property. The lodge's riverside location attracts abundant wildlife such as buffaloes, lions, and leopards who visit to cool off and refresh themselves. The lodge features 7 cottages constructed from traditional African materials like thatched grass. Each cottage is ensuite and privately positioned, offering amenities including an open veranda with tables and chairs for enjoying tea or coffee, a wardrobe, laundry bag and basket, and electricity outlets among others.

    Budget – Enjojo Lodge

    Enjojo Lodge derives its name from a historical event where an elephant was born on the lodge's land during its construction; "Enjojo" is the local name for elephant. The lodge is nestled amidst abundant greenery, including a lush acacia forest and diverse vegetation. The lodge offers 7 luxury cottages, each self-contained. Four of these cottages are nestled within the lush vegetation, while the remaining three face the open savannah plains. Every cottage features an ensuite bathroom with 24-hour running water and spacious verandas, providing guests with a comfortable and scenic retreat.

    Following designated trails, embark on a game drive to explore the diverse wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is home to 95 mammal species, including the iconic Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinoceros in some areas), as well as 10 primate species and over 600 bird species, making it one of Uganda's premier birding destinations. Many visitors flock to the southern sector of the park to spot the famous tree-climbing lions resting on the branches of humid trees. Game drives can be enjoyed both in the morning, as animals awaken and prepare for the day ahead, and in the evening, as they return to their resting places. Conclude your early morning game drive with a delightful bush breakfast experience. An exclusive spot within the park is set up with snacks and drinks, creating a fine dining atmosphere. Your chef is on hand to prepare a hot meal from the menu of your choice. You can opt to enjoy this experience privately or socialize with other guests. Sundowner Experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park: After a day filled with excursions, unwind and rejuvenate with a sundowner experience.
